Eva Natasa

Eva Natasa stays true to the roots of her brand, showcasing the brand’s signature collection LULA. The collection was born from meticulous and detailed research and observations of life, design and nature.

Natasa believes that the conscious choice of materials is significant in making the design and production processes sustainable. She believes that conscious choices in materials work hand in hand with our responsibility to trees and the ecosystem. She combines knowledge, technology and love for design, beauty and nature to create long-lasting products that are good for humans and kind to all living beings. She applies design understanding to create comfortable and long-lasting furniture, utilising knowledge of technicalities and technology to use materials as efficiently as possible through a production process that emphasises craft and is kind to the earth and people. She uses her sensibility to translate the elegance and grace in the simplicity of trees into furniture.

The studio uses only use teak wood from Perum Perhutani (a government-owned forestry company) to avoid illegal logging, and only uses teak wood that is more than 50 years old, so the trees have long enough life spans to contribute oxygen to the planet. Teak wood also naturally produces oils that protect it from termites, so no other chemicals are needed during the production process.

Natasa’s furniture is designed so that the log of wood can be cut most effectively, and the left over wood from the production process is used to fuel the kiln to dry the wood.
