It can be said that V-Ho and Giselle Khoo were born into the furnishing industry. In 1988, their father opened his first furniture shop, and over the span of his career expanded it to five shops across Penang plus a business importing furniture for local distribution. However, the furniture business did not come naturally to the two sisters, and it was only in 2017 — two years after their father had passed away — that they started DAD’S WOODS, a company that specialises in designing and crafting solid-wood furniture with the aim of presenting local woods and materials in the best possible light. This is the journey that the sisters have been on ever since.
