Thai-born, Swedish-trained Ada Chirakranont and Worapong Manupipatpong founded Bangkok-based creative studio Atelier 2+ in 2010. Since then, the studio has received international recognition in architecture, art, craft and design. Ada and Worapong feel they work best when blurring the line between the subjectivity of fine art and the objectivity of design. This is reflected in the studio’s approach towards furniture design, which reaches beyond the view of furniture as a stand-alone product, articulating it instead as a tool for shaping user experience in a furnished space.
