Othersupply is a collaboration between Genevieve Ang and Jenevieve Woon. Genevieve, also known as “gellyvieve”, is a designer and artist working in the fields of ceramics and the spatial arts who tends to ask questions that cannot be answered. Stumbling on clay at the age of ten and eventually being architecturally trained, she sees her practice as a form of play where she world-builds for and from the inner child within. Fascinated with ideograms, emojis and the evolution of languages, she is constantly searching for new forms to simplify the world around us. Jenevieve, meanwhile, is a designer with a formal education in industrial design from Central Saint Martins in London and the Rhode Island School of Design in the US. She worked as a fashion designer in New York for several years before returning home to Singapore and launching her eponymous design studio in 2021. Jenevieve’s work examines the confluence between art and function and is driven by a deep love for exploring materials. Her explorations in ceramics are a cathartic pursuit aimed at finding joy and new possibilities with clay.
