Anon Pairot is an acclaimed furniture and product designer who graduated from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok with a degree in mechanical design. In 2007, he founded the ANON PAIROT DESIGN STUDIO, a design consultancy and creative strategic planning agency based in Bangkok. Anon provides interior design with a focus on sustainability, and in addition to his commercial practice for local and international clients, he has worked with the government to promote Thai design. Named Young Designer of the Year at the 2015 Elle Decor International Design Awards, he believes that design is “the art of changing people’s valuation process” and, to a certain extent, their quality of life. Anon is also active as an artist and gallerist. His artwork deals with the value placed on status symbols such as fashion accessories, cars and even weapons. One of his latest ventures is Schemata, a design-centric art gallery in Bangkok showcasing Thai artists.
