Stamping Chair (Yellow) by THINKK Studio
Decha Archjananun and Ploypan Theerachai are the founders of THINKK Studio, a design practice that hails from Bangkok. Decha has a Master of Advanced Studies in design for luxury and craftsmanship at the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne in Switzerland, while Ploypan has a Master of Fine Arts degree in spatial design from Konstfack — Stockholm’s University of Arts, Crafts and Design. THINKK Studio began as a double act in 2011, with Decha and Ploypan reacting to what they saw as a lack of internationally recognised products from Thai designers at the time. Since then, the studio has grown into a team of ten young designers working on a range of projects, from furniture pieces and product designs to installations in hotels, department stores and exhibitions. The studio’s goal is to create timeless designs that create an interesting and appealing legacy, and the designers always keep in mind the multidimensional impact of their works on consumers, taking into consideration the market, the public, relevant communities and the environment.
